City to Hold UNBK This Year Fully

City Education Dept. ensures this year will hold computer-based National Examination (UNBK) fully. Last year, there were several schools still held a conventional National Examination.

The point is, in 2017 we will use UNBK in all schools

City Education Dept. Head, Sopan Adriyanto, said his side is preparing facilities and infrastructures to support UNBK implementation this year.

"National Examination in Jakarta this year is 100 percent using UNBK, National Examination with Computer Basis. So, all will use computer," he said, Saturday (2/25).

UNBK will be implemented to junior high school (SMP) and senior high school (SMA) level. He ensures all device from computers to internet are well prepared. Thus for implementation will be no problem.

"Computers are ready, for school that not have computers can be subsidized from another school. The point is, in 2017 we will use UNBK in all schools. Internet also not a problem, every school's capacity has been upgraded to support UNBK," he expressed.

Each school already gave training to students for UNBK implementation. Tryouts using computer to make students accustomed using computer for answering the questions have been also held.

Meanwhile, National Examination (UN) on elementary school (SD) level is still using Regional Based School Examination (USBD) system. Students will not use computer to answer the questions.

"For elementary school, we are not applying UNBK, but USBD," he closed.
